So, I ended up seeing The Dark Knight Rises the Saturday after it premiered despite the fact that I didn’t like the first two. (Oh, did that hurt your feelings?) It was really cool and had more substance than the other two. It definitely felt more like a traditional Batman movie.

Anyways, let’s get to the point of this post…

I keep seeing photos like this on Facebook. I like the fact that people are willing to spread word about things that they are suspicious about. It definitely raises a lot of questions and asking questions really does make the difference between a conspiracy theory and history.

The first time I heard about this new concept of this conspiracy theory, it was baseless and nonsensical. I had a hard time following it… At the time, it was just a few days after the shooting and people were already posting stuff on Facebook about how James Holmes was unemployed and couldn’t possibly afford all of the guns and ammunition that he had. It seemed to me that most people were looking into this for no reason. Sure, there are reasons to raise an eyebrow, but everything I was reading was completely explainable. He was simply a guy who took out loans or used a credit card to get guns like any other American could. There isn’t a reason to think that there was a conspiracy theory behind it. At the time, I probably could have done everything he did… It just didn’t make sense. There isn’t motivation for the government to do something like this. People can say that the governments wants an easier time passing anti-gun laws, but seriously, how much legislation is going to be passed during the election season?

Anyways, times change and so do people’s faces, right? Wait… what? Well, now versions of these comparison photos are popping up online. They sometimes includes a few bullet points, but the most interesting part is fact that the two photos seem to be of two completely different people even though they both are supposedly James Holmes. The one on the left is him during college or after college or something like that; It’s just a random photo of him that people are using for him since it was like the first one that the media could get a hold of. The second photo is a photo taken of James during the judicial process… Some things just don’t add… You can’t just change the size of your nose or ears… Of course, there could have been exposure issues in the first photograph since it was taken years ago, but other than that, there isn’t anything that can explain the changes, right? But, allow me to show you a few other things that may change your mind…

The above image is Jim Carrey at different points in time and slightly different angles. The nose looks different in all of these pictures, right? Just as different as James Holmes’ nose, it seems.

As for the rest of the bullets, well, there actually is no scientific was to check these. We, as the American public, don’t have access to check these things. As such, it would be sooo easy for the government to cover that up, right? If the government was behind this attack, then why would they leave behind the easiest things to cover up?

I finished The Walking Dead compendium one two days ago. It was awesome but I don’t think I need to do a full review for it because… well… just look at the above excerpt. You’ll see how much better it is than the TV show. Actually, it was amazing. There were so many twists and turns to it. I honestly didn’t expect some of the twists they threw in there. They often would follow a twist up with another twist, which in itself is a twist! Even if you watch the show, you may think you already know what’s going to happen in the book, but you’re wrong. It’s so different that you’ll still be surprised at parts that you’ve already seen on TV.
I’m not into comics and this was the first one I’ve actually sat down and read… by the suggestion of a few friends, I think I’ll pick up some others.

Bristol Palin’s New Reality TV Show Shows Lil’ Tripp… Saying “Fucker”??

I’ve already made a post explaining why the term ‘fuck’ isn’t a good term to use towards other people… It’s not something you just tell your aunt… Especially if you’re younger than 15… That’s no problem for lil’ Tripp of the Palin family. I don’t blame him for cussing like that, though. Really. He was raised by Sarah… Bristol has no parenting skills at all and that’s made apparent by all of her laughing.

Mortal Kombat 9 EVO 2012 Grand Finals

The EVO fighting game championships were this week. Here’s a video of the grand finals. It’s PerfectLegend (the winner of last year’s Mortal Kombat EVO championship), using Kung Lao, against vVv Nos CD JR, who is using Kabal.

I just picked this bad boy up yesterday night. I’m not really a comic book guy, but a chick friend told me about a few that I should look into and since I’ve been eagerly awaiting AMC coming out with the third season, I decided that was a good place to start.
Anyways, this thing contains 48 issues in it with over 1,000 pages. (Just to let you know, there are about 100 issues so far in the series.) I’ve already read a lot so and it’s pretty different than the show. For one, it doesn’t have all the filler and Rick doesn’t put up with Lori’s crap. So, it’s already infinitely better than the show.

I had no idea that Static Shock grew up to join the Justice League. I saw many episodes where some of the other super heroes helped him out but I guess I missed the episode where he is actually a member. There was even a toy announced for the future Static Shock!

Anyways, here are some more pictures of him.

I have a lot of people added on Facebook because I have a extensive family that is from all over and I happen to live in Texas where the majority of voters are Conservatives, which I have no problem with. Because of that and our proximity to Mexico, a lot of people have strong views towards immigration: A lot of people just hate immigrants. (Especially illegal immigrants.) I can understand the idea of not wanting illegal immigrants to come over. To a large extent, I can agree with it, but I certainly don’t hate the immigrants for it. A lot of people coming over illegally are coming over because they feel like their life is so bad that a life that is in America is better than one in Mexico, even if that means they have to live here illegally. I don’t know about you, but that makes me appreciate being born and living here. When it comes down to it, I believe that the process for moving here legally needs to be overhauled and recreated because it simply doesn’t work they way it is supposed to. It is too expensive and takes too long for someone to be allowed to come over.

Anyways, I was browsing Facebook and saw the above image in my news feed. My initial reaction was confusion… I’m not sure which side of this image is supposed to be bad… I mean… I don’t understand what this image accomplishes. Let me take a moment to explain how this is thing is just… retarded.

Let’s take a moment to look at this left panel. You see Sgt. Gary Stein, who was given “Other Than Honorable Discharge” after refusing to remove or take down anti-Obama posts or images with Obama’s face photoshopped onto movie posters with titles like “Jackass” and “Horrible”. Because of that, he created a branch of the Tea Party that was anti-Obama. But, this image makes you assume that he was discharged for creating a political group since it tells you he was discharged after telling you he opened a new branch. Now, let’s think about it for a moment… Would your boss want to keep you as an employee if he found out he was being mocked like this? I know for certain he wouldn’t. You wouldn’t have a job for long and you certainly wouldn’t keep if he confronted you about it and told you that you would be fired unless you took it down and you refused.

Don’t get me wrong- I believe everyone has the right to freely speak about whatever they want. You should be allowed to talk badly about your boss if you want to. But, your boss has the right to fire you for it and that’s the way things are and if you have a problem with it, you can become your own boss.

“I, (name), DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR THAT I WILL SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC; THAT I WILL BEAR TRUE FAITH AND ALLEGIANCE TO THE SAME; AND THAT I WILL OBEY THE ORDERS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE ORDERS OF THE OFFICERS APPOINTED OVER ME, ACCORDING TO REGULATIONS AND THE UNIFORM CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE. SO HELP ME GOD.”

The above is the Oath of Enlistment, which former-sergeant Gary Stein had to take in order to be in the military. It’s a contract to defend the country and to obey the orders of the above ranks, which he explicitly did not do. That’s why he was discharged. Even then, he wasn’t discharged by Obama, but by the person directly above him. He violated Articles of the UCMJ, plain and simple, and the person who is serving as our Commander-in-Chief has nothing to do with that.

Alright, let’s go to the next panel on the right… Ekatrine Bautista was an illegal immigrant who signed up for military service as an illegal so that she could go fight for our freedoms just days after the 9/11 attacks. We weren’t sure who we’d go after to revenge the deaths of thousands of innocent American citizens. It’s great that she did that. She was even willing to lie in order to defend the country that she wasn’t even supposed to be in. That’s what I would call a hero and for this image to try to use that to paint her in a bad light… well, I just don’t know how to respond to that because nothing that is in her panel is bad. So what if she was an illegal immigrant? There are specific laws in place that allow illegal immigrants to join the military as many have in the past. It’s a courageous thing to do. She even served 8 years. I don’t know about you, but a lot of people join the military don’t serve the military for 8 years, so she went above and beyond what she had to do if she was just getting into the military to be granted citizenship; She even went on record saying that she wasn’t even aware that she could be granted citizenship that way.

Bringing this all to one central point: This image is supposed to make you feel compassion for a soldier who broke an oath towards the army, who ignored orders of his superiors, and was rightly punished, bringing all the frustration over to a true hero that would defend a country that was attacked by risking her life. You be the judge- Is
Ekaterine Bautista really a “dream” soldier?
